Welcome to a fresh start of new: habits, ideas, projects, paths. I eschewed the tradition of a New Years’ Resolution years ago (it’s the only one I ever kept). Still I love the excitement of turning the calendar to twelve months of blank squares, begging to be filled with forward moving plans and positive thinking. During my reading sabbatical I delighted in filling my brain with rearranged words that offered fresh perspectives on that which I hang on to and believe in and remind myself of constantly. I’ve been challenged to evaluate limiting beliefs that throw roadblocks on my chosen path. Truth is, most of us harbor insecurities rooted in past experiences, disappointments, and discouraging words that falsely told us we are not enough and will always fall short of our goal. More on the importance of watching our language on Wednesday’s Substack post.
What recurring voice may be stifling you? Can you imagine that breaking through any roadblocks may be as simple as looking that bald-faced lie in the eyeballs and telling it to take a hike? You have wonderful gifts to share with your world, don’t let a limiting belief hide that light. Celebrate this new year with new words that encourage and build up the amazing you.
