Reframing the Shame of Things Undone…

The Ten Principles of the original ELAN course encourage 3-D Living: Discovering your passion and Developing the tools to turn passive passion into action in order to Deliver it to your world, large or small. Is there one project that drives you to spend extra-curricular hours to its completion? Most likely, many are left to die on the floor of your creative mind, shriveled shells of what could have been. We couldn’t possibly act on every spark that flames brightly but briefly. Scribbled and doodled upon journal pages, or lipstick reminders on the shower wall (my favorite way to catch inspiration) can be overwhelming. Let’s reframe the shame of things undone and call them what they are: seeds of your inspired soul. Celebrate the abundance of ideas that tickle your creative center. Choosing one will birth a new something where before there was once nothing. What will you usher into your world this week? An act of kindness? Words of poetry? A song of happiness? Even a newly organized bookshelf is a creative endeavor. If you’ve no clue where to start, begin at the center of your easy, fun zone. You’ve been given those talents for a reason. Your world, large or small, is waiting.
