TAB Continued…

Revisiting Thought, Attitude, Behavior – how does it apply to personal relationships? Do you have a wonky one that is less than copacetic? Have you noticed bad behavior toward your partner, sibling, parent, child or even neighbor or co-worker? Your perpetual irritation may seem justified. After all, they always say negative things, or they never carry their share of the load. No wonder you have a bad attitude that drives your anti-social stance. But face it. Nobody always acts one way, or never does something, but placing that thought in your head tells your brain to grasp for back-ups to the argument of them vs us, valid or not.

Think about your stickiest wicket, so to speak. Who just drives you nuts, at least for now? What is the thought that is driving your sour attitude? Can you flip it around, by learning about what drives them or by re-evaluating your assessment? What if you pretend for a day that you believe a different thing? How might that new thought alter your attitude, then behavior? How might the relationship improve? Applying the figurative ointment of TAB can soothe the irritation the resides under your skin.
