What brings you joy? What would you choose to do if you were magically given two extra hours one week? For me it would be active music (passive music is always in the background). Do you have to figure out scales and finger shapes and learn about theory? Maybe no. But then maybe you will never get past Twinkle Twinkle Little Star on the piano or the intro to Batman on the guitar.
What if you had seventeen minutes each day? Could you swing that? Pick something to fill that beautiful bounty of time (we can dream can’t we?). I’m going to practice drills, then play my favorite piano concerto as a reward. Twinkle Twinkle will have to wait.
