Love Goes On…

Perhaps you have observed a magician holding a simple ball in his hand, but when he waves the other hand over it in an Abracadabra motion, it transforms into many balls. My brain knows there is a logical explanation for magic tricks but the rest of me doesn’t need to figure it out. That’s the fun of magic, to allow yourself to be fooled, mystified, amazed.

Life can be like that. If we allow ourselves to be open to wonder and appreciation.

When I tell my family the story of love, I start with myself as a young girl who loved her family so much, she couldn’t imagine anyone ever taking their place. Soon enough, I met and fell in love with Steve, my now very longtime husband. There was no more love needed for anyone else. Until the birth of our first daughter busted the concept of love wide open. Surely, she used every bit of love there was. But then our second daughter was born and love overflowed yet again. It continues to multiply exponentially with every one of the kidlets, one by one, all equal to the others. Love is endless. The more we allow it to flow from our hearts, the more it returns in brilliant colors of happiness. Love continues, even beyond relationships. More to come in this week’s Substack post found here.
