How are you? If you consistently answer with Tired, I’msorry. It happens to all of us. We get rundown, but when my feet start to drag and my brain creeps to the clouds, I ask why my energy stores are depleted. Sometimes I just need to lean in to fallow times necessary for the rhythm of rest and rejuvenation. Boredom is a bad tired, but it’s easy to fix: pick a goal, any goal, and do one small thing toward that end, then celebrate the rev of your engine. Laziness makes me tired, in a bad way. Passing up a walk in the park for bingeing with popcorn is okay after a hefty round of passion-driven good hard work, but not as a lifestyle. Too much of giving in to that dangerous pull leads to the kind of tired that seeps into your psyche and makes for restless sleep. It’s counterintuitive but get up and go will wind that internal coil with activity, just as fresh, live food will oil its springs. Life is a natural path of ups and downs, but I’m thankful to be riding an energetic wave of doing and going until I am good tired. More on Wednesday.
