Who Are You Wearing?…

It’s Award Season, a bright spot in these sometimes-gloomy months. The Grammy’s are my favorite, for the music, but you can’t beat the Oscars for the haute couture. Avant-garde, classic, understated, absurd. What fun to watch the rich and famous answer “Who are you wearing?”

We all wear an invisible cloak. One that has nothing to do with the creator of our frock. We are shrouded by an underlying and radiating temperament. If you pay attention, you’ll glimpse what attitude others are wrapped in. Anger? Fear? Acceptance? Joy? What life view do you share with the world? It is not so invisible. Who you are wearing is the real you, no matter how you dress up (or down). There’s not much pretending when it comes to authenticity and natural character. I’m thankful for loved ones who radiate joy and acceptance, non-judgement, and love. I strive to wrap myself in 100% me, an invisible cloak of truth and love. It is not so easy as donning a designer frock for a televised appearance; all the stitching and cutting must be done internally, bit by bit and year by year. May my own creation be one of openness and non-judgement, an invisible but beautiful thing. Who are you wearing?
