Learning to Learn…

School days. I couldn’t wait for them to end. No books. No tests. No schedule. No teachers. Did I really think I could just coast through life on the limited knowledge gained in high school and college? Me living in the world today, stuck in that no-more-learning mindset would be a disaster. Can you imagine?

I can’t articulate all I’ve learned since graduation. Nor can I tell you by what means I gained such knowledge. Making stupid mistakes may top that list. A close second would be reading, something I did little of during the school years. Third place? Not school exactly, but classes, seminars, workshops, zoom calls and hanging with kindred groups has me learning still, every day. Not to mention podcasts and videos. So much to learn, so little time! But oh, the joy of choosing a favorite method and dedicating time and yes, sometimes money, to the pursuit of a worthy goal. Books? I gobble them up. Tests? You mean life? Schedule? Flexible works for me. Teachers? Yes, please.

How about you? What, and how are you learning?
