The World is Your Oyster…

But you have to shuck a lot of shells to find that pearl! This last Monday of November we continue our discussion of Casting a Wide Net while Focusing on Your Goal. A broad worldview is important if we are to know without a doubt that we are laser-focusing our skills and attention in the correct direction. Without a doubt? That may be asking a bit much, but while we are dreaming, let’s dream big. Perhaps those skills and abilities could be applied to an area we have yet to consider. Imagine a gifted musician (shamelessly switching metaphors here) who is confined to a room with only one type of music to listen to and no instrument to bring out their genius. The God-given gift, the beauty of their music, would be lost – to them and to the world. Can your own skill set be applied in a new way? Might there be a latent passion waiting to be discovered, inspired, and shared with our hurting world? Zoom out. Open your life to new ideas, people, experiences, and thoughts. Then zoom in and focus on one thing you can offer as a gift to others.
