A few years back I hosted a blog based on 10 principles by which I strive to guide my day to day decisions and behaviors. ELAN stands for Elevating Life Attitudes Now. You can read more about the 10 principles here.
The PattyMayeuxBlog will include those principles as well as notes on my personal journey in writing and publishing, with an inspirational quote or blurb posted on Fridays.
My number one principle is “Honor a Higher Power,” or to put it bluntly, look for and celebrate the beauty of God’s creation. Your brand of belief will be different than mine. You may use another name for a higher power. But all operate within a context greater than our own comfortable circle. When we tune our radar toward signs of creation or beauty or love or joy, we tap into a world filled with those things. So be aware! Sharpen your antennae. Look at the world with awe-filled eyes. Stop, pause, breathe and give thanks!
